Foggy Lake

Ever have one of those weekends when you have the time but just can't paint worth a darn ....! Dang, I really HATE those .. Hope the week improves! LOL
I've painted this scene before, but thought I'd try it again using different brushes. I love painting fog and with our constantly changing weather, it's what I see most mornings ... that bit of cloud sitting on the horizon, trees poking through it like wisps of green spears, the moisture obscuring sight and sound ... there's a bit of dreamlike quality to those mornings, as though the full thrust of reality is being held, like a breath.

This is the last week of classes. I'll be driving back and forth to work this week (a 3-4 hour commute) while my son is having his surgery. There'll be precious little time to sketch ... though I hope to get in my daily practice in some way. But 'net time will certainly be curtailed until Friday.

We're in for more rain again ... do wish it were snow!

Have a great week!

I love the foggy look to this and the soft colors!!!

Hope the surgery goes well. I will keep Mike in my prayers.

As for wishing for snow...NO WAY! It looks pretty for a a while, and then it is just a nuisance (especially if you have t drive in it)!

Have a great day!

I do love the misty look of your fog paintings. And I keep forgetting to say that when I turned over to December in your gorgeous Red Bubble calendar, the snow scene just blew me away. But oh, it's the last page in the calendar. Oh No!!

We had a bit of snow here again this morning but it only snowed a bit but was so cold it stayed on the roof tops (which is where it belongs in my opinion LOL).

Very best wishes to Mike on his surgery and you be very careful during all that driving dear friend. Don't wish for snow until you are safely home for the holidays.
Hugs,
Lorraine
