It seems flower-time for me - everywhere I look I find more and more flowers inspiring the artwork I spend my evenings with.
We found this purple vetch in the fields along the cattail ponds of one of our parks back home. I loved how the purple played against the light green of the grasses....I know that most folks find this a pesky weed, but those wonderful flowers were feeding a TON of bees and insects, and their color brightened the landscape so beautifully!
It's going to be another scorcher today -- we've heat advisories and most outdoor activities will need to be done long before noon.
In a recent check of our competition for the Orchard for the Hungry, we are 21 out of 131 participants!! Since the granters will give only 20 orchards - I am asking for your help to remember to vote -- have your friends vote -- so that by August, we'll be one of the top 20! The first five winners were chosen, that means we have to be in the next 15 highest vote-getters. We have until August -- so please, keep voting -- and THANK YOU SO MUCH!
PLEASE VOTE!

Your painting is so light, airy and lovely Lin. And what a good weed to feed the bees. Maybe with such a lush spring the bees will make a comeback.
Voted. So sorry you came so close but glad we have another chance.
Same weather here. It is, at least, keeping me inside catching up on some art swaps!
Big hugs and stay cool,
Lorraine
This captures the freshness of these delicate flowers. Lovely!!!
I am glad to hear the voting continues. I'll go cast my 3 votes now. Enjoy the day!
Just voted, didn't know we could vote more than once. I'll go back.
Love the flowers, beautiful color combination.
Stay cool.
Beautiful. I'm happy you keep finding these beauties.
