Though summer's official beginning isn't for another 3 weeks, the excessive heat and humidity that marks North Carolina summers have already arrived! Temps reached mid 90s yesterday with almost equal humidity - making breathing difficult. Being out of doors was a challenge and uncomfortable unless done early in the morning or late in the afternoon. WHEW ... I fear August when this kind of weather is expected!
And yet we still have daisies in the fields - bright and fresh looking and encouraging all those buzzing insects to stopy by for a sip of nectar. The daisies are certainly a cheerful respite!
Stay cool today --!

Oh Lin, I absolutely LOVE these daisies!!!!!!
Your daisies look fresh and unfazed by this abnormally hot and humid spring/early summer! Again,I love what you've done at the bottom -- splishing and splashing and generally making a wonderful view to draw one's eyes up to the daisies. We too are wilting here with humid 93 to 95 all week and I was so hoping for a gradual move from spring into summer. Oh well, at least it's not raining, yet.
Hugs,
Lorraine
I'm just catching up. I love the photos of the girls...Taylor looks so grown up!!!
Beautiful paintings, especially the poppies that have a special place in my heart. Your flowers always dance!! Hae a great day!!!
Love your daisies and they are thriving in the heat. Our weather is getting very uncomfortable. We all painted plein air today it's was gorgeous. Outstanding work Lin, heat or no heat, just great.
Stay cool,
Joan
