Summer is an incredible time of abundance it seems. The Farmer's Market is filled with vendors and the displays, fruits, vegetables, jams, and wares are like candy with their colors and fragrances tempting you at ever turn.

We don't grow oranges in NC, at least not these navals that came from California, but when it's been as hot as it has, a cool glass of orange juice can be mighty refreshing. C turned these into a chicken and chestnut dish that was absolutely outstanding!

Oh my chickens and chestnuts and orange juice. Sounds delicious. Your oranges look delicious too. I love navel oranges, especially in the winter.
