With another bounty of summer gifts from our friends -- figs, corn, tomatoes -- I spent the weekend making preserves and drying tomatoes, and only a bit of time painting their lush forms and colors. But oh, how I LOVE the colors of summer!
We finished our last fig preserve making and tomato drying yesterday, and last night enjoyed fresh corn with our dinner -- YUM!
We've been so blessed to have met Irene and Tom and simply overwhelmed by their generosity. We visited with them a bit yesterday exchanging stories and helping them through some of their computer issues -- it felt good to return something to this incredible couple!
Off to a week filled with obligations, meetings and computer work, and the online class I'm taking starts this week as well. I will really be pressed to do some QUICK sketches this week!!
Have a good one!

What a beautiful and colorful painting. The details are incredible, especially on the bottle -- what a terrific job although I look at each item in the painting and say the same thing -- such detail, such color - such shading. You were really inspired, and after all that work too. But "good feeling" work and how nice to have met these wonderful people.
Hugs,
Lorraine
