I've never found daffodil bulbs beautiful before I saw this painting, Lin. Lovely job. There will be daffodils everywhere shortly, so just buy yourself some and be very happy with this painting.
Well, I for one, am glad they didn't get planted. You have made an incredible drawing and painting of them -- the detail is incredible. So, yeah! I'm glad they were there for you to draw!! Hugs, Lorraine
BEAUTIFUL! Perfect papery look, highlights and shadows. Sorry they didn't make it into the ground but they've made a great subject for painting. Had some Iris that I went ahead and stuffed in the ground so late that I think they just didn't make it, too. Each day we're only alloted so many points and we choose the best we can how to spend them... Planting for my Mom was fun the fall...
So goes our great laid plans! LOL I have to laugh because I have a bag of bulbs and asparagus waiting in the garage to go into the ground too. Lets just paint instead!
Lin, are you ready for spring? lately your yellow paintings are giving you away. They are beautiful and full of spring "hope". Uh, I have never planted my bulbs at the right time... grrrrr
But they're blooming here on your blog. You've got the texture just right. My little potted daffs have finished blooming. What do I do with them now, I wonder?

I guess that's why they didn't make it into the ground...they wanted to be drawn first. Wonderful job Lin!
Pretty amazing drawing, Lin - is this watercolor pencil?
Fantastic sketch!! Great drawing and fabulous color. Really great!
"Rush" to put the bulbs in the ground at the first suitable weather so they'll bloom beautifully next year...
Happy gardening!

Oh wow, I am getting old, I forgot to tell you how much I loved the painting, duh! I got all caught up in unfinished projects. SIGH
Yikes! I meant to plant mine in late December (usually it is too warm around here to do it in September...) and FORGOT. This is a great drawing!
