Trumpet Vine

I began this sketch between meetings yesterday and while waiting for my dinner function, began painting it while sitting in my car. I finished the watercoloring this morning after a really good night's sleep. Some weeks are just longer than others!

Done with graphite, watercolor (Winsor-Newton) in Raffine spiral sketchbook from a photo reference.

This is lovely, Lin. Great job on the colors!

My raffines are on order, can't wait! I noticed that yours and Teri's pages don't buckle like mine with w.color.

absolutely love these! makes me just want to reach out and pluck them. i really like meetings like those, too, where you can actually be doing something productive while being stuck in the meeting!

Lin, this is lovely. I think your close up sketches of flowers are some of my favourites. You capture them so beautifully. I guess that may be because you know them so well.

Lin, great job on the highlights on these, you've really made them look three dimensional. Charming drawing, this one. Just lovely.

The flowers are beautiful but I really like the way the sky is the background. Lovely!
