The Stuff of Nonni
After spending such a relaxing evening last night, we are sitting for Nick and Emily tonight and giving their parents their own evening of rest.
We picked up the grands for the night, planning to eat dinner en route to our home. We packed all the provisions needed for two toddlers -- apple juice, sippy cups, wipes, diapers.
But the two of them were tired and not quite up for a restaurant visit, so we wound up heading home and eating there.
I sketched the contents of the bag we packed as we waited for the grands to arrive from their other grandparents.

Isn't it fun to sketch things like this? Since they're not beautiful or special, they allow you to just deeply enjoy the act of painting and drawing!
Looks like you have all the necessities for "sitting the grands"
Your sketching and watercolors are getting better and better.
Wow you have been productive since my last visit here! I've thoroughly enjoyed all these recent drawings of yours - the mementos of your holiday are lovely and your portrait of your sister has real humour in the eyes. That's difficult to capture, so I think you did a great job. Well done Lin!
This is so precious. I can feel your anticipation build as you wait for your grands to come and play!
I love this - not normally the things we draw and paint to remind us of a day out but these details will make your memory of the day so vivid and alive when you look at it again!
so nice of you to look after your grandkids - Im sure you enjoy it so much!!
great sketch!
