In the wrath of Hurricane Irene, the loss of life and property, flooding, power outages, and the recovery to come, something a bit cheerful and sent with hope for those adversely affected by the storm.

Life resumed for us yesterday, and my family in New York, gratefully, is - others, sadly are not as fortunate and we continue to pray for their safety and the hope for little loss of property and the will, strength and ability to recover.

May this week be filled with hope and sunny weather.

It's a great relief that you and your extended family are all okay. I was so relieved last night to see that the storm had been downgraded to a tropical storm but it still did a lot of damage.

Your flowers are a beautiful reminder that beauty and life go on and I hope that everyone's recovery from this latest natural disaster goes quickly and with as little pain and grief as possible.

Thank you for the gorgeous pansies!
Hugs,
Lorraine
