I had a very few minutes to sketch as we waited for my son and daughter-in-law. We were going with them to do a day's worth of house-hunting. I did this page of 'quicks' in less than 30 minutes - the earthshoes and candle were done as DOUBLE-BLIND contours - I didn't have my contact lenses in nor did I look at the page! I added the watercolor washes later tonight AFTER my son had made an offer on a house (all appropriate fingers are crossed!).

Hi Lin, these turned out really well for 'quicks'. It's just this sort of practice that will have you producing masterpieces in no time. (g) Hope your son's offer is accepted. How exciting. :o)
I like these very much... I have a fondness for Blind contour drawings. Also I need my contact lenses and even then I can't see, so blind contour has extra meaning for me!!!

I LOVE the term "quicks"--I'll be using it from now on! And had to laugh about the double blind approach. Nice job!
Your quicks are great. It always amazes me when doing something quick-the essence of the scene is captured so well.
double-blind, now that IS hard. Next you'll be drawing with your eyes closed altogether!
