Though my children are long past getting ready for school, and my grands NOT quite old enough to begin this late summer ritual, the stores are filling with all manner of supplies for the big return to school.
One of my earliest purchases was always a new lunchbox and thermos ... LOVED the surprises my mom would add to these!

I really like this drawing. It's simple and sweet and the shading is excellent. A great interpretation of the challenge.
Wonderful! I also remember how much fun it was to pick out a new lunchbox and thermos ... and, of course, the new box of crayons ...
;-)
Not only do I really like the colors but the shadows are terrific. Such a lovely work of art for such mundane objects.
Back in my day, the thermos was always easily-shattered glass inside -- which I managed to do very quickly. In our community, children often do not get adequate school supplies; so all those nostalgic school-supply-shoppers can fill a backpack for some poor Appalachian kid, and have the fun of the shopping!
Nice drawing! Love the color choices. I remember getting a new lunchbox every year, too.
