One of our industrious Landscape Classes created this fabulous water feature for the Arboretum gardens, and iIt sits in front of the mobile unit that houses our offices. In the persistent and truly terrible drought we are experiencing, this feature recycles a small amount of water.
I can't tell you how much we are enjoying the delightful the sound of splashing water as we're greeted each early morning and leaving late each evening!

Oh how soothing and lovely. The detail and color in the rocks is so good and the shadows and lines of the stairs too. Another super job!
And we are finally getting rain -- looks like all week. And very very very needed!
Hugs,
Lorraine
I love the sound of water as it travels over rocks. You've done a wonderful job of recreating this on paper.
A wonderful job on this bit of soothing music for your drought. So pretty Lin!
I agree with Lorraine, cara. And now, where is OUR rain???
Commiserations to you from another who is living in terrible drought conditions. Our city's main dam (our water supply) is now down to 12% capacity. Yikes, when will it rain again?! I can understand how much you would be enjoying the sound of water as you work. Love the drawing - great perspective!
Lovely subtle colours! There is nothing so soothing as that sound is there?!
Beuautiful Lin...great colors and shadings. Oh, I hope your rains are close, Hartman also told me yesterday, like you said a while ago, the leaves don't even change colour they just fall.
