IT RAINED yesterday! And is going to rain, actually rain, today and a bit tomorrow! Rain fell at work, at home, and over the drying lake that provides water for the majority of counties where I live. THANK GOD!
Though it won't break the drought, it will contribute much needed water to the wildlife, lakes, and the stressed plants that are barely hanging on.
We are all grateful for every drop that falls!!

Yes, isn't it wonderful. It's been raining here since Monday night and will be for a week or more. We had 5" in two days but no flooding as it was a slow gentle rain and just got soaked up. Your painting is a fitting tribute. Love those dark clouds -- never thought I would say that!!!
Hugs,
Lorraine
That must be such a relief. Beautiful painting of storm clouds. I really like these landscapes (trees and skies etc.) that you are doing.
I'm so happy for you Lin...I get news from you and Hartman almost at the same time. He called yesterday saying it is coming down in buckets yesterday in Oconee county! Wonderful!

What a wonderful thing, Rain, when needed that is - and a wonderful sketch, your sky Rocks!! I pray you get just enough rain NOW!
Yay! We've had some rain, too. I got out into it and just smelled the damp ground. FABULOUS!
I was in tears when the rain started. I hope to do a post about it in the next couple of days. It's been very dark time here, hasn't it? Love your painting, cara.
