More Sketch practice ... the photo I used for this reference didn't have any striking shadows -- and so I didn't add any. My interest here was paint tossing as an exercise for the foliage and flowers as well as the grillwork on the window. Though not a photo of Savannah, it so reminded me of that beautify Georgia city.

Wonderful colors! I also love the look of old windows.
You're almost bringing a bit of summer to the dark days here...all these lovely bright colours...great work with those petal splotches!
Ronell
Yummy colors! How did you get such perfect lines on the window grate? The way you did the flowers reminds me of when I was taking a class from Claire Verbiest and she corrected the way I was painting potted flowers, instructing me to do them as you did. Gorgeous work!
I love the contrast of the "tossed" flowers with the even lines in the grill work on the window -- a lovely balance of loose and structured!

Lorraine
Lorraine said it perfectly - beautiful balance between loose and controlled. Lovely colors too.
This is very warm and inviting, this window you've painted. The glass itself is rendered superbly!
very beautiful and well done, Lin!
This is beautiful! That grill work can't get any better! It looks so cheery!
Really beautiful Lin. The bright happy colors are great.
This is really great! I never heard the term "tossing" the paint, but it makes perfect sense. Fun!
Very effective 'paint tossing' on the flowers, Lin. This picture is full of warmth and joy and skill. Brava.
