Finally -- a quiet evening! YAHOO! In keeping with her generous nature and continuing her incredible support of my 'sketching every night' Rebecca (owner of the B&B) brought me this AWESOME Tuscan Vase to paint -- one of my Christmas gifts! She said she wanted it 'immortalized' in paint ...! LOL What a sweetheart!
I just ADORE the size, the shapes -- the COLORS .. and so I sketched it Tuesday evening and finished it last night as we sat by the warm, crackling fire sipping tea and chatting.
Now THAT'S the way to spend an evening!

What a sweetheart, indeed. That vase has a wonderful shape, and you have captured it nicely.
it IS a beautiful vase and what a great way to spend the evening!
Oh you did such a great job with the rounding!!! It looks truly three dimensional to me. Love the colors, the shape and the decorative touches. And what a pleasant sounding evening. I love a fire going in the fireplace but unfortunately our sofa is now in front of the fireplace.
Another gorgeous one Lin. Perfect for an apron!

Lorraine
The vase is Beautiful! I stopped over by way of Water Blossoms - glad I did!
Lin - Great job on the shape and the shading of the vase! You sound like you had a perfect evening of painting in front of the fire. Now that I'm home I'm trying to catch up and post some of my work from the trip. I took so many photos of barns (in NC and SC) and can't wait to paint a few. Thanks for your suggestions.
Lin that is really beautiful... I loved it... Thanks so much for the well wishes for my honey... He did pretty good... will need a new stent and they will do that next week... Have a great day...
