The weekend before last, my granddaughter Emily and I cooked a lemon tea bread together -- it was our first 'cooking' together and much fun!
When karen posted the challenge, I thought I'd commemorate the 'first' by sketching our sweet bread. It contained bits of chrystalized lemon peel that were sweet and tart at the same time, they made your cheeks pucker! The grands LOVED IT!!

Yum! Now I'm longing for something sweet. Very well done Lin!
A Lovely picture - you've really caught the texture - maybe one day your granddaughter will do a drawing of her memory of making bread with you, as I have done today - should be finished and up tomorrow.
I was going to say that -- it looks good
enough to eat -- so realistic -- great job!

Oh yummy, Lin, I can just about smell it! Wonderful job on the texture. What a great memory for your grand!!
I have to repeat what the others said, the texture is wonderful! It obviously tasted as good as it looked!
Yum ... sounds good and looks great!
If it was as good to eat as it is to look at, Lin, then wow. You did a wonderful job of translating the texture of the lemon bread onto paper.
Great job. I can almost smell it.
yummy illo!
Yummy looking bread. I can see the real thing, you have caught the look of it very well.
It seems like a very yummy thing. So the picture.
What a special occasion and a delicious looking loaf! I love lemon flavored breads and pastries of any sort. Which was more delicious, baking with your grandaughter or eating the results?
What an excellent sketch, Ms Lin! Your warm yellows and ochres give such a great sense of sweetness and citrus and breadness ;D.
recipe?
Good enough to eat! A lovely representation. I haven't visited for awhile and just love looking at your sketches. You are so disciplined, even about getting them uploaded.
