I needed flowers today, 9/11, for the hope they represent on this, the fifth year ,of our country's worst disaster. My father worked on the construction of the Twin Towers and though he was gone ten years prior to their fall, somehow the two losses have combined and are so remembered again on this day.
A bit of bright cheer in these fall flowers.

Wasnt it a hideous time....and yesterday was so sad... I agree pansies are so cheerful how can you be sad when you look at them?? Great job LIn
There's something about the beautiful color, shape and composition of these that perfectly illustrates your words. I know what you mean about how one loss blends with others. Thanks for this healing offering.
Your pansies are beautiful, Lin. I wish your heart comfort. Your title is very appropriate.
So sorry it was a sad time for your Lin. I love your flowers and the purple fall ones above. Your love for them shines through.
Lin, I can see how 911 must have affected you since your Dad helped build it-it is like a double disaster. These little pansies are filled with love for all.
I was so glad I was away on am art retreat; we never turned on the radio or tv. And I know just what you mean about needing flowers; when I'm sad or depressed, they really cheer me up. Lovely rendition.I can almost feel their velvet softness -- my
2nd fav. flower after zinnias.
