Another guided work ... my dear friend continues to help me improve my watercolors and emphasizes particularly dark values (which I tend to shy away from for some odd reason) and to learn how to shape objects such as leaves with varying values. Thank you again, my friend!
I will be with my daughter this weekend and playing nonna to a one-year old who's just discovered the freedom of walking! So if I'm scarce, please know that I'm fully immersed in "Nonna-hood!" ... but I'll be sketching every chance I have!
Have a great weekend!

Great true colour in these grapes, Lin. The darks are very good too. Now you just need some highlights.
Excellent! Perfect tones in the leaves and blends of colors in the grapes!
Very, very nice Lin. You've made them look edible.
Oh Lin! This is FANTASTIC!! Gorgeous, gorgeous darks between those leaves and grapes--really adds dimension!!
I love your work & your site. You keep posting, I'll keep looking! - Barbara
Great job on the values and you did great on the different tones in the leaves...goal achieved!
Enjoy being a grandmother this weekend!

Beautiful, Lin. Pushing yourself to add those darks is creating a rich depth to this piece.
