Daily Practice
This practice sketch is based on a photo I took of the Mediterranean while visiting Sicily two years ago ...I haven't made it to the beach at all this summet, so I 'embellished' this scene with some memories of both our visit to Sicily and my visits to South Carolina beaches.
It promises to be another busy, chore-filled weekend and the cooler night-time temperatures have begun to change the landscape into more vivid yellows and oranges ...I truly hope to find some quiet time to get outdoors and paint!

I love it! I want to be there....
So serene and lovely -- and with the cooler temps would be a great place to walk on the sand. Love all the details!
Hugs,

Lin - I could walk down that path easily!!! A lovely scene! It's been too windy here lately for me to get to the beach, thus my painting adventure at the farm. Have a fun weekend...mine will be busy too.
Lovely, peaceful...... grat job!
Hey Lin, the beaches in Wilmington are starting to look this way. We are having great weather. Love your painting. Nice to see you still doing art and all.
I'm not an independent viewer in this occasion as I'm in love with the sea... The painting feels so fresh and inviting. And I think the browns and the blue of the sea go together wonderfully.
Wishing you some time on your own over the weekend and happy painting.
What a beautiful beach scene! I could walk right down and jump in.
Beautiful and peaceful ... lovely!
