I began this watercolor at lunch yesterday, knowing that Teresa and I would have dinner together and my sketch time when I returned to the B&B would be severely limited. I got in most of the painting and layering at lunch and finished it late last night.
The poms are making their way into our grocery stores -- and I love them. They were always a holiday treat for us from Thanksgiving to Christmas. And as a bunus, they're filled with wonderful vitamins and all good healthy things! My daughter sent me some incredible tea with pomegranate flavorings -- yum!
And with mornings like this, cold and brisk, the flavored tea sure tastes great!

Lin - I love the rich colors of this. I've never eaten a persimmon, but I did see them in the store the other day and was tempted to buy one to paint. I may do that yet!!! Good work!
Oh what a gorgeous painting. And the tea sounds wonderful. I notice they are putting poms in various juices and teas now, making some interesting combinations. I never developed a taste for them but love how gorgeous they are -- the color so rich!

These are positively luscious Lin! I can almost smell and taste them. Juicy! Great job.
Wonderful poms! You've captured that shiny skin perfectly. Don't they have such personality? I found new GIANT ones in the grocery store the other day, but just couldn't bring myself to buy even more of them.
:-)
Lovely and juicy!
You are spoiling me, Lin, with all that warm and delicate red in your recent paintings. Beautiful. Love the rendition of seeds.
