Winter Grasses - Inspired by Denis Collette

Journal Size

Again, my thanks go out to Denis Collette (http://www.flickr.com/photos/deniscollette/) for his incredible photography that inspired this winter evening scene. THANK YOU, Denis!

As I type, my windows are still dark and I can't see the snow that is quietly falling. The weather forecasters tell us that this will, again, be a short-lived event - snow all morning turning to rain and skeet this afternoon. Still, the roads are already hazardous, schools are closed, and events are cancelled. We really are not equipped to handle snow or ice.

I have holiday preparations to work on today, but hope to get to my art table for a quiet, non-rushed time!

Stay wam and safe!

I love this one, Lin. For me it evokes a winter night, with a cold wind and snow flurries.

Such a gorgeous combination of abstract and realistic. I love the black grasses against the starry night background -- and oh the colors!!! Beautiful Lin.
Big hugs,

Looks like the frosty conditions out here. Love the color!! We hit snow along I-81 through part of PA, WVA & Northern VA on our trip to Georgia. Lots of accidents for such a little amount of snow. We'll finish the drive to GA tomorrow and hope for better conditions. Enjoy this frost evening!
