The pile of collected leaves from yesterday greeted me as I sat at my work desk. Most had shriveled up, so I thought I'd redo a couple of sweetgum leaves -- and make SURE I got the venation correct!

I tried two methods: watercolor and pencil and watercolor and ink. I like both -- the pencil is a bit softer, but I also like the contract of the ink and watercolor .... hmmmmmm

What a lovely set of of leaves! I like them both too and nice to see that you were experimenting with different media all on the same page.

Very nice! Funny, only those that have a connection to the nursery world would "make sure the veination is correct", I can relate! Very pretty leaves by the way.

Very nice -- isn't it great to find beauty in all stages of nature. You have really captured the essence of leaves at this stage. Love them both.

These are so pretty! They look so delicate and crisp and light as air and the colors are just right.
