A good friend of mine asked me to upload additional scans of the journal I kept when I visited Sicily two years ago. I hadn't begun sketching yet, and so the journal was more a combination of collage and writing.
After looking through the journal and revisiting that trip in my mind, this arch, not from the trip but so reminescent of Italy, seemed to fit my nostalgic mood.

Wow, I love how the colours are stronger through the arch and really pull your attention in there!
Oh Lin, it is beautiful, so bright and inviting! Love it! What else are you hiding in there?
Linnie, I love the way you've just suggested some of the stone on this archway and the little bit visible on in is wonderful!
tutti tua pinturi e tanti belli! excuse the incorrect grammer but you get my drift, no? This is lovely and just makes me so excited that I will be returning to Italy again soon!
I love this arch. You've really done a great job on the stone work. I would love to be there to see it in person. What nice memory's this must bring for you.
