Cattail

It was fun!

This is lovely Lin - what a perfect way to spend an afternoon. There is a patch of cattails on a stretch of road I ddrive by every week, and everytime I go by I think I wish I had time to stop and sketch those. You've inspired me - next time I drive by I AM stopping. Even if I only have time to snap a picture to draw from later - it's better than regretting not.

They are called cattails...what a lovely appropriate name. I'd like to see one up close now, will keep my eyes open. By the sound of it...a delightful day you had and a great sketch to show!

Yikes...90 degrees just knocks me out and I have to lay down. I thought it was a close up sketch of a caterpillar on a grass stalk until I enlarged it and read your writing. Either way it's a charming sketch!

I really like the simplicity of this painting.

I can't imagine that kind of heat. Summer has been cancelled here in the UK!
