For some reason, this birdbath that sits in the front of my herb bed will not hold water -- so I filled it with birdseed instead and surrounded it with red geraniums.
Lin, I haven't been able to visit lately, and I've missed so much. Your recent work is wonderful - and the painting of Emily and Nick is adorable. I really like the purple hulled peas, too.
What a great idea and a magical painting! Sadly I can't feed the birds because the feed draws rodents but they do love the seeds on my plants--especially the bottle brush tree. A flock of tiny little finches (?) arrive, settle, feast and fly off together.

It's a great idea, and I'll bet the birds like it. You did a great job getting the feeling of sunlight on the top of the birdbath and flowers, Lin.
Wonderful sketch and wonderful idea! You must be the birds hero!! Love the bright happy colors in here.
Wonderful painting Lin, I really love the range of values. Great idea, there must be lots of very happy birds there now!
It looks as if you have writing on the other side of the images. What do you have written?

Lovely. I couldn't do that here, the field mice would have a ... 'field' day. :o)
Love red geraniums and they look lovely around your "seed bath"
