Lady Banks

Lady Banks

I love roses -- they're my mom's favorite flower -- and this one is particularly pest free, flowers early in the bloom season, and evergreen. My only wish for it would be a stronger fragrance and a much longer bloom time!

Oh this is loose and lovely and I particularly like the way the sky sets it off. For some reason as I age I prefer yellow roses to all others but for other flowers, give me all colors. Nice job -- again!! And again, a new none to me.

Lorraine

Ah, Lin!! Thank you for identifying this for me!! When we bought our house a few years ago, I found this rose on our property, but had no idea the name!

I love roses too, and would have lots, but the darn deer keep nipping off my buds! :(

Very pretty ... you really have a way with yellow. I find it had to work with at times. I agree with some of the others who think you have a nice way with words. I've enjoyed my visit.

That's beautiful. I especially like what you've done with the background. It's very effective.

You've really "got" the loose style going, Lin! I especially noticed the "ghost" leaves -- I don't know what they are really called, but that sounds good to me -- they really add to the loose style and also add good depth.

Such Beauties these flowers are. As usual, you captured the loveliness of your subject! And, thank you for the information … I never knew that a thorn-less rose exist!

Oh Lin - These are wonderful. I probably shouldn't admit this to you but roses are my least favorite flower! LOL. The way you've depicted them tho - I could learn to love them. Great job.
