Carved from wood, these six inch wooden shoes hold special memories for Rebecca and sit on her husband's desk. Rebecca has requested several copies of them for her family and to send to the gentleman who carved them for her late husband.

Oh wow; what a neat idea and you have done a marvelous job -- the shadows of the dark and light of an old worn pair of shoes -- splendid! Hugs, Lorraine
Lin, this is a very nice sketch. It sounds like Rebecca & you have been doing a bit of reminiscing. Alll these special things of her late husband must bring back a flood of memories. I'm sure she is touched by your beautiful sketches.
Lin, I've said this before and I'll say it again. It is so exciting watching your painting develop. These shoes and the bells are lovely paintings, and I can really see how much you've improved since you first started this blog.
What a grea idea and you have done a lovely sketch - that's one of my favourite things about sketching - a very light way to add a special pleasure or two to the world

This is awesome! I can feel the wooden texture with my eyes. The satiny texture of the highlights really comes through. Beautiful!
