The pale purple phlox is blooming in my secret garden as is the yellow heather ... They're both so pale and cheerful against the greening of the other shrubs and flowers ...
Grands are visiting this weekend -- and beautiful weather to enjoy being out of doors!

Lovely Lin. I keep discovering over and over how much I like ink and watercolor washes. Have a great time with the children.
You just keep wowing with your flowers ... these are terrific! I have a book of flower sketches I bought at an art store that I pour over and study ... yours are every bit as wonderful. Cheers! Mary Ellen
Oh boy, this is fabulous. The little picture doesn't do them justice. In the enlarged view it's a wonderful painting with great composition and colors and the drawing is terrific too. Maybe I'll find out what your secret garden is as I catch up on your past weeks posts.
Beautifully drawn and shaded -- I feel I could reach out and touch them and they'd be real! Yellow heather??? Another surprise.
Hugs,
Lorraine
Lin, I enjoyed getting caught up on your life! Love the flowers, the bells and especially the boots. We were in the same boat again as I painted some cowboy boots I saw when we were traveling back to Wisconsin.
And your GPS story is a hoot!! :)
I agree with Jana...it is only on the enlarged view that this drawing can really be appreciated. I do love that pale violet color...loads of them in my garden too!
Ronell
PS: when do I/we get to see some photo's of this lovely garden of yours?
Your work is stunningly beautiful these days Lin. You draw and paint beautifully.
