Tis the season for bold and lovely displays of tulips. Everywhere I look, the tulips are in full bloom -- except my own flower beds. I'm at least a half zone later and cooler than the places I visit and work ... but the streetscapes and public gardens are simply awesome with variously hued tulips!

Perfection!!! Definitely a candidate for card reprints. I used to plant Emperor Reds -- giant poppy colored tulips. Nice reminder.

Lyn, these past few paintings show your skill and strength as a painter. Lovely to see your work changing and growing!!! Happy spring.
They are splendid, Lin! Remind me of the tullips in our garden :)
Wow, these are gorgeous!
Beautiful tulips Lin! They yell that it is spring.
I always look forward to you new posts, Lin and I always enjoy your drawings...the tulip once again, as well as the previous shells, Always beautiful

Oh, my! Such wonderful form definition, cara! You are gaining such strength and confidence in your work. Too bad tulips are annuals in our climate, though, isn't it?
Hmmm... then again, maybe THIS is my favorite! :-D Wonderfully done -- beautiful clear reds, great depth of color in the greens. You have "blossomed" quite a bit yourself -- artistically speaking, that is! Great work.
Hi Lyn, this is a very pretty wc! Yeah, spring is here!
These are just lovely, Lin. I think your watercolors are just getting better and better!
Lin, These tulips are beautiful! Your painting is blossoming just like these wonderful blooms. I love your little violets as well.
I'm impressed with your colors, Lin. This is gorgeous.
I can only agree with the others - your confidence as a painter really shines through! This is just super!
Tulips are almost my favorite flower. Your color nuances are really beautiful.
Very nicely done. Like that range of values not only in th e flower petals but in the leaves too.
The tulips do look bold, if not brazen in their confidence of their beauty. Hehe.
But, their leaves, oh my! I love how they gracefully curve upright, they remind me of a dancer’s supple movement. :)
